Hey everyone, just registered a few days ago and thought i'd say hello.
21/m from California here. Originally from Russia, but I've been in Cali so long that I've grown to like the warm weather much more. I'm currently a senior at UCSD and finishing up this spring - so I was planning to go backpacking in europe for 2 months or so this summer (June/July, maybe August money permitting).
I'm really glad I stumbled across this site, because this is my first time going on a trip like this I definately need all the advice I can get, and this place looks like it's full of cool people that are always ready to help out a fellow traveler.
Also figured I might be able to find people who want to meet up in europe over the summer, because for now I'm planning on traveling by myself (all my friends aren't the traveling type unfortunately).
Well, that's all for now, I'll start posting my endless questions in the appropriate forums soon. XD

i've seen lots of posts about the running of the bulls this summer - i actually posted one myself looking for hostel help.
after some research, i've heard that camping in the park is a great option. however, i'm a cute, twenty-something female traveling alone - so passing out in a strange park is not the best idea...
anyone else gonna be there?

I know I will be sleeping in the park, along with tecia, ashpunk and a couple others I think. The more the merrier. We can stake out a designated travelpunk location.
It may get kind of grungy, but all the more fun right?

Somnambulation, I'm a computer science / management science double major. I'm kind of dreading entering the whole 'Corporate America' scene....so I'm trying to get as much travel done as possible before I have to start work in the fall.
I'm hopefully doing the whole park-sleeping thing in Spain too, sounds like there will be a lot of people there and it should be fun.
Oh, and thanks for the welcome everyone.
