Hey folks
Just signed up on this board not too long ago because it's definitely the most active and most informative board I've seen on this stuff. A lot of your posts have already helped just by reading em, so big thanks for that!
I came over to England to finish my degree on exchange in Brighton, but really, it's just an excuse to do some travelling I'm headin to Portugal and Spain over easter break in April for the beaches...then up to France for some snowboarding. Hah, how amazing is that? You can't really do that where I'm from! If anyone is traveling around these areas April 1 - 14th, let me know..I'd love to make some new friends. Also, when school's done in June I'll be backpackin it on my own through europe for a couple months...so if you're in the same boat let me know!
Don't know where I was going with all that, because I'm probably gonna ask a bunch of questions in the other forums...but I thought I'd say thanks for the help so far, and I look forward to seeing you guys out there!
Blake
PS. If you need a place to crash in Brighton for some reason - look no further! It's a uni res, but hey, we aren't picky

Aahh lots of Ontarians in here!
I was born in London Ontario and moved to Ottawa for four years before coming over to England. I just tell everyone I'm from Ottawa though...saves some confusion
Beergal, Brighton is nice, I'm having a good time so far. I imagine it's going to be amazing in the summer with the clubs on the beach and the shopping laines and all that jazz. Last night a friend and I left one of the bars and joined a big group of people on the beach having a bon fire at 5am. Watched the sunrise and headed home. Very chill indeed....
Only complaint being because I'm 4th year exchange...(23 years old) I'm in res with 1st years...18-19. I get along great with everyone...but it's nice to get out with some kids my own age...ya know?

Hi and welcome to the boards! This is about the time we get a surplus of people planning on backpacking Europe through the summer, so you'll have no problems finding some people via Travelpunk to meet up with. Glad you're having a great time!
