hey all you travel crazy kids,
been a member for a couple months so i figure i'll let y'all know something about my self. born in austin texas, school TCU in fort worth. living in florence italy right now studying photography (my major) but just really like doing anything that can be called ART. i'm always willing to have a drink if someone comes my way. and really really want to work in a hostel some time in my life!!! never knew the glory till i got to europe. well thats it for now. take it easy

glad to hear your enjoying yourself in Italy! how long are you there for? I always wanted to study abroad, but never got a chance. i'm graduating this may though and spending five weeks in europe may-june, so i guess i can make up for it then! working in a hostel seems pretty cool, definetly something i'd love to do also!

going to be here till may 14... then go home and work for the appalachia service project... maybe you can go get your masters in europe. i think i might try that

italy in june? good call.... rome for at least four days... at least. stay at the yellow hostel in rome... freaken bad ass. go on the pub crawl too much fun... florence go see the sun set over the city at san miniotto. other than that it ain't to cheap right now. maybe by the time you get here the dollar would be better and the euro wouldn't be so much... any other questions if i can help ya.

Hey crazytexan, studying photography in florence and working for the appalachian svc. project! You sound like a pretty cool guy! Maybe you could teach me a few things about photography some day, I suck at it!

I've been to Florence, but I've done mainly the major sites, museums, and did go to San miniotto to view the city at sunset. Are there any other less known places, tucked away somewhere, hangout places you'd recommend? What was your favorite impressions of Florence? Did you go anywhere outside Florence in the Tuscan area?
