I just booked my flights at Travelcuts an hour ago. The ticket with the insurance was a total of a whopping $1600. INSANE! We could have saved a few hundred bucks but my parents wanted me to buy a ticket with a flexible return date just in case I want to come home early. I'm not planning on that happening. But what's done is done and I have my ticket. I'll be backpacking solo for 2 months starting in July. Here's my ticket itinerary

Departing Vancouver Wednesday July 5th @ 7:45pm
Arriving in London Thursday, July 6th @ 1:25pm

Returning from London Saturday, September 9th @ 12:30pm
Arriving in Vancouver Saturday, September 9th at 2:30pm

I can't believe it! I'm actually going to Europe. I'm so excited but also nervous. I've never traveled before and this is going to be a huge test for me.

I'm still working on my itinerary. I posted up a very rough one weeks ago, but I should have a better one by the end of the week.

If anyone is going to be in Europe during the same time as me and wants to meet up, give me a shout

Congrats! That's awesome. So, did your parents pay for the ticket? Lucky you if they did! I doubt you'll want to come back early (maybe later... ) but it's really nice to have that flexibility. Europe is a wonderful, magical place and every country has it's own unique tastes. You'll create some ever lasting memories. Enjoy every moment - even the rough ones!

Yeah my parents did pay. It's a graduation present. I'm going to pay for my Eurail Pass.

Thanks for the comment! I can't wait!

You should book it down to Pamplona to join the Running of the Bulls meet-up.

That's great, though, congrats! Have any idea where you're going in between?

I was planning on heading down to Pamplona but I don't feel comfortable sleeping outside a park. I might do a seperate trip for Spain and Portugal soon.

Yeah, I have an idea of where I'll be. I'm still working on figuring out what places I should cut out. But here's my list

London
Vienna
Salzburg
Zagreb
Split
Bol
Dubrovnik
Prague
Paris
Nice
Monaco
Munich
Fussen
Cinque Terre
Venice
Pompeii
Sorrento/Amalfi
Capri
Amsterdam
Interlaken
Geneva
