Hi and welcome!

So, do you have any definite plans and/or places to see? Whereabouts in the states will you be? A lot of the people from these boards are American and Canadian so we should be able to help you out as best as possible! Good luck with your travels and the preparations you have.

Unhappy

Cheers guys!!
Well I'm leaving in November going from Sydney to LA to Vancouver. Then i've heard about a cool train ride that takes you from Toronto to New York. I was actually hoping to be in NewYork for NewYears Eve, I've heard that time square goes off!! Then from there I'll be going to London to meet up with some mates and find a job.
I've got a 2yr working visa, although I'm not really sure of what work to look for. I'll probly do the pub thing for a bit I reckon. Anyways from London, ill be going back throgh Asia, I was hoping to check out Tokyo and Shanghai.
Yous got any advice on where to go.......?

Welcome.

This explains your terrible advice on the sex boards on how to pick up chicks. You're aussie. So you open your mouth and you get laid. Makes sense now. Trains in the new world are a no no. they're turbo lame. The ball dropping in times square is a big big big deal.

I don't really have much info on it. I've heard the scenery is spectacular though!! You have a 2hr stop at Niagra falls on the way as well.
I'll probly be doing it Mid December, then off to Time Square for New Years!!

Oh yeah, here's a link or 2 to the train website....

Speaking of trains in that area, there is something called the Agawa Canyon train ride. It goes up from the area around Lake Superior way north into the interior where no roads exists and the scenery is spectacular.

And there's supposed to be another train that crosses Canada from the west to east that's pretty cool, but our Canadian friends could probably tell you more...

Good luck, and be sure to pepper us with questions...!
