Ive been kinda lurking around the forums for a week or so now. I'm from Loveland, Colorado, and plan on going to Europe next summer if I can get the fund together. Not sure what dates...I want to make sure I have the money first. But I am still very very excited, I have always wanted to travel around Europe and have just recently found out how cheaply you can do that.

Great site! Ive already learned alot!

Welcome slacker! This is a great site, and don't let the money issue get you down about going to Europe... just keep it as a goal. I have been here for almost 2 years and haven't quite made it yet, (mostly due to crappy economical crap). But I still keep the goal of backpacking Europe and meeting some more of my Travelpunk buddies.

Hope you make it over next year man!

Well I'm getting a new job where I can work more hours (part time). I'm looking at getting a job as a waiter at Chili's. I currently work at a retirement home and...well hate it. But i have 310 hours of payed time off. When I quit i get to cash that out. 310 * 10.35 = 3208.50. So ive got about 1/2 of what I want to leave with down. Thats before taxes though . So that gives me a few months to get some more. Theres probably a really good chance I will make it, but I'm not gonna make plans or reservations untill I KNOW i can make it.

Btw, have any of you planned layovers in the US? Cuzz I'd like to spend like 2 or 3 days in New York City...
