Hi all
Thought it was about time to introduce myself since I have been reading these boards for a while now. If any of you know of alkyow.........I’m her travel buddy. And like her I am also slogging away in the Highlands of Scotland trying very hard to save some cash.....although have come to the conclusion that I am leaving at the end of June no matter what.
I think she has already posted our plans, but here they are from me too –
West Coast Canada/USA - Cook Islands - NZ - Oz - Vietnam - Cambodia - Thailand - Singapore
And back to sunny Scotland in April next year (to no job, no cash…but let’s not think about that now).
So, our first destination is Vancouver. We’ve booked up to stay for a week in the SameSun hostel on Granville Street – anyone stayed there before, or know of the area? Any advice will be greatly appreciated as we will be wee lost souls when we arrive.
Thanks
Rach

Welcome to the Boards! So, where in the highlands are you? I spent five weeks in Scotland (sigh...many years ago) and loved it. It's one of my favorite, all-time trips.
Sounds like you have some great plans for your travels. Cook Islands, eh? What's in the plans for there?

Hello Worldwidemike
Thanks for the welcome. We stay near Skye in the Highlands, not on the Island iteslf but near where you get the bridge over (might have been ferry if you visited here a while ago). It is a great part of the country, although a little quiet and a little bit rainy at times.
We are stopping off in Raratonga for a few days only, time enough to chill out and recharge for Auckland. Peace and quiet time really.
Cheers
RP

Welcome to the boards!
Looks like you have quite a bit of traveling under your belt. I'm thinking you'll have plenty of good stories and wicked advice.

Hi Everyone. I could really use some help. I leave for London in 11 days and only have my first night booked at the hostel. I am going to be traveling around for 16 days. Do you think I will be ok without any reservations? eek
