Sorry to hear that, man. I got chicken pox in college after sharing a beer w/ a girl who was just developing it...
My roommate had never had it, so I was sequestered to my RA's room, as he'd had it before... The RA happened to be my cousin, who took EVERY opportunity to torture me. I could barely get up and move, and he filled the CD changer with country music CD's he'd borrowed and put on repeat. He and my friends would go use my "sick pass" to get food from the cafeteria - all crap I didn't like. Crap like that. Of course, they don't realize that the whole rest of our lives is payback time. Oh, and I now know every single word to Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places."

Newbie- I feel you're pain! I just got over my pox and my quarantine. Whatever you do... DO NOT SCRATCH THEM, lest they become biblical!
(we need one of those smiley faces with little red pox spots all over it)

A pox upon ye? :D
Been there, done that, when I was little. All the kids in the neighborhood, class, etc were all over so they could catch it! Don't scratch 'em and take baths in aveeno or whatever that shit is... calamine lotion is your friend!!!
And it could be worse- i had acute tonisilitis last september. Nearly killed me! (it abcessed 3 times) How often does a 24-year old guy get his tonsils removed? Imagine all the jokes that were made at my expense on that one!!!

come to find out, Megz, that yeah, it happens a lot. I was back to work in a week, and 100% in about 2-3. Lost 20 lbs in the process, though!

i can't believe so many people on here have gotten chicken pox in their adult years. i got them when i was 17 and was out of work and school for 3 weeks. you've really got to take good care of yourself, dude, cause it can be really dangerous when you are older. i just stayed heavily medicated the whole time and ended up with some knarly dreads after three weeks of baking soda baths. hang in there, spotty!
