i just posted and i'm new but i forgot to say the other reason i joined this group, besides being told to. anyway, right now i have to live vicariously through other peoples travels because i have a one-year-old son and it's hard (read:impossible) to get away like i used to. one day i want to road trip it with my son all across america but until then..... i've been to europe and mexico and various states of the union, illinois (chicago) being the most frequented, besides louisiana but it doesn't count because i'm from there. i hope one day soon to be kidnapped (hint, hint to you know who you are) and whisked away to new orleans for a night or two. anyway this is too long but it's cool to read all you guys posts.

Don't worry glorious_day... very soon your son will pray for you to travel so he can take a lil vacation from you... My daughter is 8 years old and she loves when I travel and buy her all the gifts in this world.
