Well, I am 22 and am finally leaving the states! Cant wait! Traveling to france, Irland,Belguim, Italy and Spain! Going with one of my best buds, Kally! Her first time too! So is there anything we should know? Any places that we must see? We are spending a month in Europe but we might stay longer depending on our budget! Well cant wait to hear from some people! Peace and Thanks

Welcome, Dayton! For a minute, I thought you were about an hour away...from Dayton, OHIO. Ah, well.

My suggestions for the countries you mentioned:
Ireland -- anything, anywhere...it's a cool, laid back country.
France -- Provence is my favorite part...Mediterranean feel and look, Roman ruins, history, food...
Italy -- Venice is a must-see, IMO. Try to make it down to the south. If you base yourself out of Sorrento, there's all kinds of cool stuff to see nearby (Pompeii and Herculanean's Roman ruins; the gorgeous coast of the Amalfi area; the Greek temples at Paestum; the island of Capri...
Spain -- I loved Segovia - chock full of history; Grenada is cool...

Feel free to ask questions...there's a lot of travel experience here on the Boards

Hey Dayton! Welcome to the Boards!

In Italy, in addition to the places wwm mentioned, definitely do Rome, Florence and Cinque Terre.

In Spain, do not miss Barcelona!

Cheers!

Well I guess I'd better get my hello in here also before Dayton is sick of them... so Hello! Welcome to the clan.. (I think our tartan is in the works) Watch out this place is addictive but great. I myself will be in England all summer working just outside of london, but hail from Toronto, Ontario. Places to see? ummm well I have to say... if you do happen to fall into the tourist traps which are the "Dungeons" series... suchs as York Dungeon, or Edinburgh Dungeon.. one is fun to see.. but psssst... they're all the same in every city. However if you're in Edinburgh I recommend the Whisky factory and the Underground Ghost Tours through the Vaults (but bring you're friend cause they're creepy)

yeah I saw the show on travel channel of some peeps staying in the dungeon all night and sleeping on the floor. It was a less than impressive show (TP feel free to save us from these lame travel shows ) but was cool to see the historical part.
