I guess I've been posting from over here more than I thought! a quick recap, this is really a much longer story:
from Barcelona Eva and I went to Valencia for a couple of days, then back to Barcelona to catch a train to Montpellier. Dear god/dess in heaven, do I have a story about that place... but I will just say AVOID THE MONTPELLIER AUBERGE de JEUNESSE IF YOU CAN. Okay. Then we went to Avignon, conveniently enough on Easter Sunday -- and we found out that the french celebrate Easter on Monday too. Hmph. Then we went to Nice... ah, the riviera!!! We also took a short side trip to Monaco, and ended up having to take a cab back to Nice because someone ( ) didn't look at the train schedule correctly, and we had to catch our train to Paris at 15:56... that was a €65 mistake. Now we are in Paris and I am trying to type on this damn french keyboard. Argh. Our little cheapie hotel room, while comfortably and undeniably roomy and in a nice section of Montmartre, has a very curious shower -- they just put a shower stall in the corner of the room!! We call it the Barbie Shower.
But the weather has been mostly good and I am having a fabulous time! Can't wait to catch up when I get back.

Yo, sup! Congrats, MC!
But, what is the MONTPELLIER AUBERGE de JEUNESSE? A nasty hostel?

Auberge de Jeunesse is the french term for " youth hostel." They are all HI-affiliated and usually extremely cheap, we paid only 8.60 euros for the night-- and I would not have paid more. It was filthy and the women's bathroom was closed so we had to use the even more filthy men's bathroom, which only had one toilet and two showers (which we didn't bother to use, we ran to the train station to get the hell out of dodge) for the entire place-- 150 beds.

dude, I wish that was me! Unfortuntely, no. A few weeks ago I was either in Seattle or England. Terribly, terribly far away from Tahiti and/or Fiji, more's the pity.
thanks though!!
