Default job offer in poland

The hostel Ive been staying at while Ive been in Krakow has a need for a "party manager" and has offered it to me! It comes with the task of showing hostel guests a good time during their stay. Pretty much I will just have to get them to drink and bring them to a few clubs and just party. It doesnt pay anything but I would get free accommodation and food... what do you t'punks think?

Oh and I would be taking a semester off from school because of this so thats also a factor for me to consider.

Congrats !

It seems like a great opportunity to get overseas, cross-cultural and managing experience. Postponing your studies with only one semester doesn't very bad, unless you have reasons to finish as quick as possible.

Would you have time to visit surrounding cities/countries or is it a 6-7 days a week job ? Or can you ask for "long weekends" once in a while ?

What does it cost to stay there each night? Isn't it like 10€ a day? Because that's what they are paying you.

Do you have to spend you own money to drink with the guests each night? If you do, then you're actually losing on this deal.

It could be cheaper to just stay there, pay their nightly fee, and not be obligated to work/party everyday.

You can still work/party as much as you want, but not be forced to just to save 10€.

If that makes sense...

With most those gigs it looks like the bar/club give the guy/girl bringing all the people in free drinks. It's very much a promotion thing for the bars and clubs from what I've seen.

-I will get a monthly wage of $100 CAD (not much I know, but...)
-I will not have to pay for my own drinks.

Agree w Tony (travelpunk) I stayed there and met some people doing the thing they are offering you. They seemed to like it. If you want to do it and have the $ go for it. But stay chummy with the boss obs because if they don't like you you're out. I'm assuming this is all under the table so you have no legal rights. I had a somewhat similar job one time and thats my 2 cents.

What kind of hours? I would assume evenings and nights. But 4 or 5 evenings of "free" partying might be 30 hours. I would certainly have a plan B. If ya have a plan B then go for it

I loved Tutti Frutti, and Krakow.

I'm extremely jealous.
