Forget Keith's, go for Sleeman's if you want Canadian beer! It's (sadly) the only brewer that is still 100% Canadian-owned (and that may be changing in the future as well).

haha.... thought you'd say something like that....
I'm pretty positive that Keiths has only ever been brewed in Nova Scotia.. and either way it's a Damn Good Beer.

Sleeman is very tasty, love it ! But I have to rectify your statement. In Quebec, there are dozens of 100% canadian beers, plus they are excellent ! Over 20 microbreweries, and a couple provincial and national breweries (sleeman-unibroue). Try Belle Gueule, la Maudite, Boréale, McAuslan, Saint-Ambroise, fin du monde, etc, etc, etc.

Well, I didn't mean to insinuate that there were no microbrews in Canada! Just that in general, there were no national domestic brewers (Molson, Labatt's, etc) that were completely Canadian owned...with the (current) exception of Sleeman's. It's OK because it's a global trend...companies buying other companies...
But of the record, I love Unibroue...on the rare occasion I've been able to have something from them, they've never failed to please (or get me drunk).
Happy Canada Day all! And Dio, enjoy your Hoegaarden! :D

This was my first Canada Day not being in Canada so I went to France where I felt much closer since I grew up in Quebec. It was weird not seeing fireworks or drinking any Canadian beer though!
Happy Birthday Canada!
