Need A Cheap Place To Stay In Rio
Hi, I'm Dani, Karol's friend, I'm going to carnival with two friends, and I need a place to stay, we can pay like $25 a night, a we can crash anywhere, couch, carpet, floor, anything, if u know about any apartments you can rent for 5 days, or a rooms, or a cheap hostel or a kind soul that will give us a space on their floor, we'll really appreciate it.

I totally wish I could help chica but all my friends are paulista's! Couchsurfing isn't working out? We've only ever had one brazilian on the boards and she disapeared not too long after I visited her...fell into a hole in Reno I believe but even she lived no where near Rio.
maybe try the message boards at www.brazzil.com they might be of more assistance
(paulista's are from sao paulo... caraca's are from rio... they loathe eachother)

Check hostel world. You would be lucky to find anything at that price now or even before most of them got fully booked. Carnival in Rio is a blast but it is not cheap. I wouldn't skip it over a money issue. A place to stay will cost a fair bit but the other prices stay mostly the same. Some good hostels are Villa Carioca and anything with a high rating on hostelworld.com
