From VCE airport to Locanda Poste Vecie - TravelPUNK Backpacker College Student Budget Travel Message Boards!

I need a way to get from vce airport to Locanda Poste Vecie which is in the city. the guy that im traveling with said that taking a speedboat there would be the best way however it costs $160. Eff that s%#t! does anyone know an alternative way?

Is Locanda Poste Vecie a hotel? I looked it up, and that was all I found!

Anyway, on the website it tells you how to get there from the airport:

"From the Airport of Venice.
Take ACTV bus number 5 or shuttle ATVO for Venezia - Piazzale Roma. Then take vaporetto number 1 or number 82 towards San Marco / Rialto to the stop at "Rialto". When you get off turn left and cross Rialto Bridge, continue to the Fish Market in Campo delle Beccarie. You will have arrived."

Is that what you were after?

thanks for the response. now that i know i can take a bus from the airport to the city, any clue as to how to find out hours of operation for the buses? i'll be landing in italy roughly around 10-11pm. are there still buses at that hour?

I looked it up and found the timetable for the ATVO buses that go from the airport into the city. http://www.atvo.it/orari/pdf_airport/mpolovenezia.pdf As you can see, there are buses up until 00:20am.

Hope that helps (by the way, I've not been to Venice, I've literally just looked all this stuff up, so can't comment on how efficient this service is!)
