Check the Foreign Office's website (I think that's the correct name) they should have all visa requirements. Or, take a quick peek at a current Hong Kong travel book (Let's Go or Lonely Planet or Fodor's or whatnot - someone has to have a detailed guide to Hong Kong), there should be a list of visa requirements right in the introductory section (sometimes called "Before You Go") and it'll be very specific whether you do or not. If you do, they'll have the info on where to apply, etc. Failing that, contact the Chinese Embassy, they'll know.

Dude, noooooo it's not cool. my first name is only something that is written on official forms and documents, let's keep my first name as invisible as possible. Cherry, Echeverry or DJ_V, will do perfect let' not start making use of my first name, thank you very much! :D

I have been to Hong Kong many times, and as an American and I do not need a Visa. I have to believe as a Brit you are also exempt. This should be especially true given Hong Kong's former status as a Brit colony. I beleive the Brits negotiated all sorts of things prior to the hand over to protect all the Brits who live, work and travel to Hong Kong. You shouldn't have a problem.
