help wanted

I've backpacked around OZ earlier this year and am now thinking about Europe I'm off to Paris & Barcelona and I'm looking for advise on Hostels in these cities. I'm travelling alone and am not sure should I also bring a sleeping bag. In OZ you can hire sheets can you hire blankets & sheets in Europe.

Also any suggestions on where to visit while in these cities................thanks a million
