Couch Surfing
Hey everybody. I haven't been on in a looooong time. School's tearin the ass outta me...in a good way.
Upon entering the site today I had a sudden revelation! (well, maybe it's already been done, but I can't find it) Why don't we have some kind of hospitality thread on here? As in, you can post where you will be going and then people can offer a place to stay if it's convenient for them. Conversely, you could post that you currently have a couch or whatever that you would let another TP use (if it was convenient for the particular date of course). I'll trade you space on my couch for a beer!
The reason this occurred to me is as follows: I was in the metro a few days ago and helped some backpackers find their way to where they were going here in Montreal. Afterwards I thought, "damn, my gf and I aren't doing shit tonight. I should have invited them to come and stay with us. They get a place to stay and we get interesting conversation with interesting people." I went back to find them but they were gone.
Maybe it wouldn't work, but I thought I would suggest it anyway. What do y'all think?
