so ive been looking into hostels and i wanna book the majority of them within the next week so i can relax and not wory that they will all book up (what can i say...im super excited and anxious for my 63 day backpacking trip to begin!!) planning on going to london, paris...down to southern france (st tropez and st maxine to nice) then down to rome (with a stop in the cinque terre if possible) and down to naples and the amalfi coast....then over to the greek islands and then back to rome...
so any hostel recommendations for anywhere around those places would be awesome!!
i want fun/party hostels to meet people at since i will be travelling alone and want to make the most of every day and night that im there...
thanks for the help guys!!! i really appreciate it!!

Well, in london, if you want to party (you might not get much sleep), then i think the generator is the place to be. £1 pints or drinks from 6-9. and something goin on everynight in the bar. lots of fun. and in rome, def. yellow hostel. both place i extend 4-5 nights stayes into 2 1/2 weeks at each in total. i was at yellow so long that i was almost a staff member. tons of fun, no real bar, but very social and the staff are great. thats all i know. i rented some lady's apartment in monterosso (cinque terre). it was kinda cool. met a couple americans at the train station and we ended up finding someone who's mother rented out her flat. and they only stayed for one night, so the second night she let me stay alone with just the one room for 30 euro. a one bedroom apartment for 30 euro. awesome. let me tell you this. cinque terre should not be missed.

Yeah the Generator in london is your best bet for a party there. In Nice, the Villa St. Expury (I think thats the name) is a grea hostel. Not really a party hostel, but more of a sit around and drink hostel. They sell cheap beer and wine at teh front desk. Havent been to the other places you mentioned, but dont worry about places filling up. If youre by yourself you wont have any problem, there are always extra single beds. You definitely dont want to book 63 days up right now.

Generator Not Reccommended, especially if you're a chick. Just something to think about. Besides, its really kind of a lame hostel. Though the bar is hella cheap.

I understand people have had bad experiences there and i don't want to take away from that. I know that bad shit has gone down. But I myself have stayed there for a week as a solo female and had the best time ever... as have a lot of my friends.

Well, when you combine cheap booze with that type of atmosphere, you are inevitably going to have claims of "rape."
Just keep your wits about you and use your head.
