I've been searching online but I can only find two hostels in Liverpool. Both seem pretty expensive (with the exchange rate between the pound and the dollar) so I was wondering if anyone knew of any place to stay in Liverpool? Any suggestions for other hostels or maybe cheap, dodgy hotels? I'll be there for probably 4 nights (maybe 3) in June.

Stay at the Embassy hostel. It's wicked. Had a great time there. It's really homey and everyone is friendly. In fact even before they take your money they give you a cup of tea. And there is free toast with jam, peanut butter etc..There is a comfy lounge room too with loads of movies to watch. The hostelling international hostel is good too. It's pretty new and the rooms are huge however it's pricey. My 2 cents

well xanthous stayed at the internation hostel and i dont think he thought the hostel was all that good although it is in a primary location!
Make sure you book something early as they were meant to be holding our graduation ceremonies that week but had to change it because of an event thats happening here for the life of me i cant remember what it was, however cheap hotels that you might want to try is the formulae1 or the dolby!
Heh if you fancy a meet up i will be around during that time!

The hostel wasn't bad, but it WAS expensive (all things considered...twice the price I paid in London).
Next time in Liverpool, I'll be trying the Embassie.

I think I'm going to try the Embassie, too. It looks incredible. Now I just have to hope they're not booked up for graduation week.
