Was wondering what the arrangement of the 4 person dorm rooms that many of the hostels i've been looking at have to offer. Do they offer a locking door? Can they be rente exclusively to the 4 people in my party? or would I be better off gettng 2 - 2 Person Private rooms. Oh yeah, I'm also a bit concerned because I'm a first time backpacker and pretty paranoid about my stuff

No matter where you go, there you are.
Most hostels will book a room just for your group...as long as you fill the room. I'd call/email the hostel first to see if they can accomodate...and bring your own locks (cable bike lock and padlock) so you can lock your shit down! Hostels often (but not always) have lockers for you to store your gear in...use 'em, cause even if the door to your room does lock, the staff will still have access.
