I have a night in Brussels in between my time in Ireland and the Netherlands, but the hostels are few and far between. They also seem mucho expensive? Any tips? Is it worth the day to check out the city or should I just hop on the rail after my plane lands?

Brussels was one of my least favourite cities in Europe however the Grand Place (central square) was spectacular. In my opinon that would be the only reason you would visit.

I stayed at the 'Sleep Well' which wasn't too bad. It was comfortable and clean but more of a hotel and lacking atmosphere. It was located in the shopping district about 10 minutes walking distance from the Grand Place.
