Personal Eurotrip 2005 Accomodations

So, my friend and I are heading off to Europe and the UK for 48 days this summer, and we've finally figured out where we will probably stay in each city that we are visiting. I just want to make sure that none of these places are horrible before we book, so any feedback y'all can provide would be awesome. Keep in mind that we are primarily concerned with cleanliness (but we're cheap, so we're staying in dorm rooms) and are not really avid partiers.

6. Verona - Ostelli Villa Franchescatti

8. Naples - Hostel Pensione Mancini
9. Paris - Hotel Belfort
10. Brussels - Bruegel
11. London - Astor Museum Inn ( & later, the Ace Hostel)
12. Bath - YHA Bath
13. Stratford - YHA Stratford
14. Oxford - YHA Oxford
15. Dublin - Avalon House
16. Belfast - Arnie's Backpackers
17. Stirling - SYHA Stirling
18. Fort William - Fort William Backpackers
19. Inverness - Eastgate Backpackers

Again, cleanliness and safety are our primary concerns. We know that some of these places will be great, but some of the others, we haven't heard much about. We'd really appreciate any feedback you might have.

Of the hostels you listed the only one I stayed in was Ostelli Villa Franchescatti in Verona and the place aint bad. It's the only hostel anyway.

If your tired this place can be a bit of a nuisance as there is a lockout from nearly all day until 1700. If you want to party it's also a problem as there is a curfew at 2330. There didn't seem to be much of a nightlife here anyway.
It's situated at the top of a hill in some old builing with good views and nice garden.

I wasn't too keen on the dorm setup but - the male only dorm I got was in one big room with about 30 beds so you could hear everyone cough etc. A bit tough to get a good night.

Having said all that it's quite cheap (think it was like 13/14 e) for Italian standards.

Finally a tip for this one - make sure you catch the bus from the train station as it's a very long walk!
