Thumbs up

I am going to be in Europe in May and June, starting in the UK and then going all over the place. I haven't really looked at much outside of London, but I have researched a lot about the London hostels. It's so hard because half of the reviews for a hostel will be great and the other half will say how horrific the hostel is. In London, I have narrowed down my choices to the Millennium Lodge or the Generator. Has anyone ever stayed at either? Or are there any other cheap, good hostels in London? How about the rest of Western Europe? Any suggestions?

Welcome, I would cheap and London do not go together in the same sentence. That being said, I think omisan and jw1313 have stayed at the generator if I remember right. There are thousands of hostels all over Western Europe, some better than others. Ask on here if anyone has stayed there or some places have reviews, pictures, etc. And if you're not happy with it, you can always leave after the first night. Usually they allow that and refund your money if you paid for subsequent nights. Or make a reservation for only one night to make sure you like it.
