hey there, i was just in lagos 2 weeks ago. i didnșt have a place booked but just showed up on the bus, and there was a lady greeting people as you got off asking if you needed a place to stay. i ended up going with her and it was truly legitimate and great! her name is lucinda. the place is right in the center across from the post office with an amazing view of the ocean! it was 17 euro a night. so if you are the type who can just show up places without knowing for sure where you are staying, i would say do this for lagos and if you donșt meet her, maybe someone else or there are loads of places to stay and youșll be fine. but anyplace you stay in lagos would be a pretty good location probably because it the inner city pedestrian area is pretty small.
have fun! enjoy the beach, the cheap drinks and the food!!!!!!!!!!! i ate loads of incredible food while i was there!

take care,
lauren

ps take a boat ride out to the grottos. there are people all along the beach offering them, and it was definitely worth it!

hi again. unfortunately, i am back in the US ......I had to leave Shane and the couple others we were with last week to head back into Spain, then Portugal to come home, and those lucky ducks headed down to Marrakesh to trek out into the desert for a few days with a guide. I am sooooooooo jealous and sad that I missed out and am home! Anyway, hope Lagos is working out for you. Do you have Shane's email because if not, I could give it to you. Ok, bye for now.
