I just got some basic hostel reservation questions...

I have never been to Europe but now get the opportunity to by studying abroad in the spring

I dunno where yet but anyways the schools seem to give a month off to travel around Europe in march aprilish. WHen should i start booking the hostels, expecially in the busy places like Amsterdam and whatnot.
Thanx

From what I have experienced in April travel, for the big cities, just a week in advance should work. Maybe two-three weeks if there is a very popular hostel that you would like to stay you (such as the Flying Pig in Amsterdam). Most of the big cities have plenty of hostels to choose from so finding one even last minute is not too much of a problem.

If you do go to smaller cities, I would actually suggest booking about three weeks ahead, as with less hostels they are bound to fill up faster.
