Anyone tried camping in Europe? Are there reasonably priced camp sites on public transit routes-or are they mostly off in the boonies?

I don't have any first hand experience on that, but by visiting the Europe camp sites page of this site, you can read the descriptions on each link to see what they offer, their locations, and their proximity to public transportation (if any).
