Hostel/Camping Europe
 

I am traveling to europe in about two weeks. I have, and will be, booking hostels along specific checkpoint marks--but I have question. I wont to know if it is feasible to also camp europe. And if I can camp Europe, can I camp near cities, since I am using a global eurail pass. HOw much might the transportation to and from the site may be? HOw can I found out any of these specific tidbits of information..

I have never camped in Europe before, but it is my understanding that most campsites (not sure about all of them) are usually a little bit out of the main city. If you will be camping a lot, then it would be worthwhile bringing a tent, sleeping pad, and a lot of the cooking/eating supplies necessary for camping. If you're only going to be camping once or twice, it probably will not be worth the money saved to be lugging that kind of stuff around for your entire trip.
