Marc,

I was in Dubrovnik this past June. I wrote about our experience renting a house in the city at this post: http://www.travelpunk.com/boards/sho...ight=dubrovnik

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know. I also wrote up an account of our trip for the Philadelphia Inquirer Travel Section and its going to be published in the next few weeks. I'll add a link to it when its online.

Yep, I had read your stuff already Matt. Theres some great info there. The Dubrovnik part of Croatia is actually the easiest part. I know exactly how I'm getting there (by ferry or bus from split) and how I'm leaving there (by ferry to Bar then a train to Belgrade). The upper part of Croatia is the areas that I'm looking for word of mouth lodging. I can find several places online, but I would love to hear first hand knowledge.
Thanks again though Matt.
Marc
