Hostels & Cutlery
 

Hi,

i am planning to stay in hostels for my trip to Europe this summer.

1) What kind of cutlery do hostel kitchens have?
2) Do they have the basic pots, pans, spoons, plates, knifes?
3) I was thinking of buying a loaf of bread on the go during the day to make sandwiches, are you allowed to take a butter knife to use, but bring back to the hostel at the end of the day?
4) is it better to buy my own basics?

You could probably just buy a cheap knife when you get there. Carry it around with you for your trip and then ditch it. Or you could just 'borrow' one from a restaurant you eat at... :blink:

If a hostel has a kitchen for guests to use, then they will be well equipped and I doubt anyone would mind if you borrowed a knife for the day.
