Paris I don't have any recommendations for. I hated my hostel (Peace and Love) and ended up moving into an apartment I heard from and friend of a friend. :D

Never been to Rome either,

But Amsterdam, I had SUCH a blast at the Flying Pig Downtown. The people working were AWESOME, my bunkmates (Highschool guys from ireland) were really funny and it was just a great environment and it's like um a 5 min walk from the Train Station.

It's got my two thumbs up.

Flying Pig Downtown is great. I heard the other one is good as well. Bob's is also great if Pig is full.

Rome: Freindship Place. Great location by train station and nice people.

Paris: I can't remember the name but I picked the highest rated one in a decent location. All I can remember is that I had a TV in my 4-bed dorm with ensuite bathroom and the price was good.

Hope this helps.

People didn't seem to like this one but I thought the three ducks in Paris was cool.

It's an old stables thats been trasformed into hostel. It's a bit dindgey and run down in places but I think that gives it character. It has a courtyard where you can sit in the sun, is about 15 minute walk from the tower, has a pub with the cheapest drink in town and friendly staff.

It also has a trapdoor in the bar so be careful I saw someone fall into it but it was the funniest thing I've ever seen, I'm pissing myself just thinking about it.

Depends on what you want to do.

Ams-The Flying Pig DT is great. Had a blast there, and learned alot from fellow travellers.

Paris I stayed at Absolute Paris, it was ok, decent rooms, not much partying going on there, the location was ok a few blocks from the metro. A friend stayed at the three ducks and said he had a blast although the rooms there he claimed were not as nice.

Rome I stayed in a hotel that we got at the train station. It was decent, but the location was awesome. I don't remember the name of it tho sorry. I have it in some books at home.
