Im headed on a 35 day trip throughout Europe. Im planning on taking my medications such as valium and lorcet. Do I need to worry about any customs bullshit? As long as I have a prescription will I be allright to travel with these meds?? Is this something I need to be stressing out about?? If I dont have a prescription would it be hard to get through customs with a week or so worth of meds?? How strict is europe with american medication policies??

Hi blueindian and welcome to travelpunk.com !
With a copy of your prescriptions with you, you'll have no problem. If you need it, you need it, the end. Keep the prescriptions with your "safe", passport, ticket. I travelled with med also. Nobody ever asked anything, but I did have the prescription in case. |
One of my friends left on a trip to Africa planning to be there for four months and he takes lots of hardcore perscription meds. He took a four month supply of each med and if he had even the slightest problem about it he would have complained non-stop for a month when he got back.

Just take them all before you go, thats what I do.
Or you can bing the perscription like they already said, either way works fine.. but you'll probably have less problems by bringing the perscription and not ODing :insane: :insane: :insane: |
If you have your perscriptions you should be fine. If you want an "official" word on it, check with the customs office (you should be able to find a phone number on the internet), or mabey your embassy. As a side note, keep your perscriptions at easy access, you may be asked for them at airports, security checkpoints, ect.
