Hear conflicting opinions at the travelcuts office about whether or not it's necessary to get shots when travelling to Mexico from Canada...I've heard suggestions of Twinrix for Hep A,B. What's the tpunk consensus on this?

I won't take shots unless absolutely necessary, as I don't like to introduce foreign substances to my body unless they're FUN! Hep is pretty much a risk anywhere you go with dodgy water supplies, but not that common to contract.

The main issue people have with water/unpeeled fruits in Mexico and other such countries is diarrhea... Montezuma's Revenge! You can prevent that by introducing competing fauna to your digestive tract, in the form of yogurt with active cultures or taking probiotic (acidophilus) pills, or simply by not drinking the water/taking drinks with ice/eating unpeeled fruits altogether.

Personally, I like to take in everything a country has to offer, so I go the probiotic route. Best way to prevent Hep is not to eat ass
