Does anyone know anything or reccomend hepatitis, menengitis etc. vaccinations for a year long backpacking romp???? Other things I should consider asking a doc before I leave???

Well, if you're going from the US, you can check out the government's handy State Department travel web site - they'll list the various vaccinations you need to go to various countries.

It really all depends on where you're going and what you'll be doing, after all.
