Hi all

well, been in Boston, travelled through lovely Canada, taking some great pics, especially last wekend when I was at Niagra at night.

Anyway, got to chicago on Sunday, been having a great time, until....get back to my hostel this evening - find the lock on my locker missing and all my travel money gone....all $2000.

Not only that, I had just changed memory sticks on my camera, and those had gone too.

All I can say is that at least I'm in the right city to be singing the Blues

I'm off to find the highest building...catch you all later

HOLY CRAP!!!! Please tell me that was in travelers cheques???
Check your travel insurence to see if your covered for it, and make sure you do a police report as proof of the incident...DO NOT LEAVE WITH OUT THAT REPORT! after you leave it will be the only thing you have to proov the incident happened.

i'm really sorry to hear that - you are being rather positive about the whole thing though... it's a mystery to me how BUT very impressive and attractive! i'd be crying like a baby.

Take prints from the locker. Bbay powder and some tape will do. We will find the person, and kill them.

oh my god, saying that sucks just doesn't seem to cover it... I am so sorry!! I am not in Chicago but if I was I'd totally try to help you out as much as I could. Fucker! I hope you nail him/her (and definitely file a police report!!)

After the initial shock, went to report it to the police.

Oh well, money comes and goes, but I also lost all my photos of my trip so far, people I'd met, things I'd seen...those are irreplaceable.

having to cut short my trip in Chicago, off to Seattle tomorrow where I'll regroup and bounce back.

hopefully next update will be abit more positive

That is the bad shit you never want to hear man... that sucks total ass. i couldn't imagine coming back and missing that kind of cash, and the photos... that right there would just piss me off... don't these people have a conscience?

I hope the thought of ruining one persons trip for their financial gain eats at their darkened soul till they rot to nothing.

That is the kind of thing I would expect out of the D, but not our bright neighbor to the west Chicago... I have always had good luck there.

Terrible... just terrible... hopefully the gloom and rain of Seattle will somehow perk you up.
