Default Mono has bit me and kept on runnin'

So I just find out, two days before my final spring break, that I have freaking mono...

I figured this would be a good opprotunity to swap some stories. Anyone else out there had this wretched thing? I know there is no drinking but can you get away with a little? And by a little, i mean a lot on normal people's standards.

Let's hear those stories people, I need something to entertain me while I am held up in my bed for the next eternity

Oh nooo! I'm so sorry to hear that. Never had it. Don't know anyone intimately who has, but know friends of friends.

All I know is no kissing and no contact sports! (Especially where those two may intersect... !!)

Sucks to hear that but I hope you get better soon! I've never had mono, but I was sick last spring break with viral gasteroenteritis and a bad flu so I understand the cruel ironies of life - chucking illness at ya right when your vacation starts! My friend was nice enough to take me to her place for break, as contagious as I was, and I remember not remembering the entire drive to NH thanks to fever/delirium and whatnot. Heh.

My sister had it when she was in highschool. It just remember that she was so tired. And basically was off from school for a month. I remember being jealous at the time!

Never had it. I say, don't give it any "mental attention." Don't focus or talk about it at great length. Energy flows where attention goes.

I remember back in the day when Mono was going around in school. It was like the kiss of death .

Get better !

yeah my best mate in high school got it. Never knew where he got it from though cause he never dated or hung out with girls really. He slept for like a month. That thing is a pain in the arse.

I had the "walking" mono when I was in HS. It was awful. I was constantly tired, and though able to function, I lost weight and couldn't seem to sleep enough.

This condition was rectified with massive caffeine intake.

It's so crazy, I slept for like 3 days and I feel fine now, which makes me question how long I actually had it? How weird...I maybe had it for months and had no idea. It has been nice taking time of from the bars (never thought I would EVER say that).
It has been weird, it is spring break in a college town, and i am couped up on the couch. There is no one here which means me=bored as shit Maybe I will create my own adventures...esp. since my computer is still broken and all I have is a tv

Ok so maybe there is some delerium kicking in with the mono...
