There aren't any required by Oz/NZ, at least that I know of. I didn't need any. *shrug*

Nah, i'm pretty sure you don't need any to come here. There'll be a website somewhere that will tell you what vaccines you'll need, i'm sure you'll find something if you google it.

I'm doing a RTW trip so obviously do need to have some jabs. It wouldn't hurt to get the free jabs- such as making sure your tetanus is up to date. They tried to tell me I'd need malaria tablets but apparently this isn't the case???

Malaria only exists in the tropics (northern coast) in Oz, and even there it's very very rare. I have been up there numerous times and been absolutely killed by mozzies and never had any worries. I really don't think it's necessary to take malaria tablets in Oz. However, insect repellant is a must up there, the mozzies and sand flies will carry you away if you don't have any.

I wouldn't think you need them for Australia or New Zeland but if it bothers you, you might want to see a doc or go to the travel clinic.

If you are going out in the boonies in a malarial region, you might want them. If you are sticking to mostly well-settled/urban areas you shouldn't need them.
