Why can't I call continental Europe?!?

OK, I can get thru to UK & Ireland from US just fine. But every number I try to call in Holland, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, etc, I get a "this international call is not available" (or something like that) message. I'm doing everything the 2006 guidebk told me to do. for example, when calling Holland I put the 011 then the 31 country code then the number. Nuthing. I tried adding zeros and/or ones before and after the country code. Again, nothing. What's up? What am I doing wrong?
I'm using a T-Mobile cellphone. Does T-Mobile block calls to continental Europe? Or is it something else?

Well, the simplest way to answer that is to dial 611 and ask if you have international calling available on your mobile. Sometimes, because it is usually less expensive to dial the UK versus mainlant Europe, UK may be enable while mainland is not...so it's always worth a call.

Make sure you have "world class international" dialing enabled. It doesn't cost anything, and you can activate it via T-mobile's web site.
