Default should i stay or should i go?

hey guys, got a bit of a dilemma here and thought i would pass it by you more experienced decision makers.
i have been in new zealand now for about 3 months, i can say right now i would be happy with what i seen here if i was leaving for home tommorrow. but i have been blessed with a year long visa. i have been living in tauranga (a town of about 100,000) for about 3 weeks working 2 jobs to pay for some car parts and get back some of the saveings i have spent. im pretty happy here. im working reception at one of the hostels in a neighboring town, and for one of the pubs in town, and between those im working my ass off.

my delema is this: i have brought over my skis with me intending to do some skiiing here but so far, have spent most of my days surfing. i need to decide if i should put in notice and get out of here for either ruapahu or to wanaka/queenstown or, stay here for a few months to save more money, thus loseing all my chances of skiing for the next year or 2 (winters only got 2 months left here) and haveing to spend 500 dollars on sending them home unused.

im kinda leaning on just ditching all this cause im in love with the snow (i want to guide for a living) but things are going so well right now that it would be quite stupid to leave. the dice might not roll so well for me next time.

i know you guys will only give advice, and the only way for me to know what im doing is to do it, so i will let you guys know what will happen in a few days.

I say ditch the jobs and head to ruapehu or down south if thats where you want to be, so long as you can afford it you might as well do it while your here! Ruapehu is covered with snow at the moment and its gorgeous!!! We get a view of it on a clear day from our new flat :D

You may even be able to pick up some bar work or something whereever you plan to go, if your in the north island try maybe taupo, ohakune or wanganui, or maybe even taihape for jobs, although ohakune is rather tiny, but I hear it has a pretty decent night life for a small town at this time of the year.

If you do plan on staying in the north island and heading up to the mountain or staying anywhere near it give me a PM or if your on facebook add me and keep me updated, I live about 1.5hours away from Ruapehu

I say if your passion is snow and skiing and you want to guide in the future then the choice is obvious - go to the mountains!

When is the next time you'll be in NZ and able to ski? You may run into some bumps finding new jobs but hey, you have experience now

I say go for it and have the time of your life!
