here's what I got;

main pack & backpack

hiking boots & my vans (skate shoes)

5 pairs of sock & boxers
3 t-shirts (2 button up w/ collar 1 plain)
1 sleevless shirt
2 pairs of pants (one converts to shorts)
1 pair of shorts
1 beater
light rainproof jacket
hoodie

tooth brush & tooth paste
gel
deoderant
soap
shampoo
chewable pepto pills
graveol
a few energy bars
travel towel
sunscreen
alcohol pads

first aid kit (covers everything from mole skin to duct tape)

ipod & charger
dig cam, usb cable, & chrager (plus spare batteries)
adapter

book & journal, pen
little note pad for writing down directions & whatever

debit card & credit card
rail pass
passport
driver's & b certificate
(photocopy of all docs)

book & pages cut out of travel guide

I think thats everything.

Anyone have any input to take anything out or add anything?

You look good to go, that list is pretty much what I have in mind for myself. How about a pocketknife though?

hmmmmlist looks great!!! May wanna throw some earplugs in there for the train, and plane rides, and for the snoring room mates you may have...nothing worse than treking with little sleep...and for like 2$ why not?

som- thats actually one of the things I forgot to put on the list. I have something like a Helsman(sp?) tool, kind of a no name version lol

zylah- nother thing I forgot to put on the list, I like the way you think though!

cd- thats a really good idea, I've thought about getting them before but I think its one of those things that keep slipping my mind

Pretty comprehensive list!

Perhaps add in tiny flashlight (or, as the Brits say, "Torch!" ). Comes in handy at night when you wake up in a strange bed and also sightseeing in churches, caves, etc. Oh, and at night, finding your way home on dark streets...

Pack the batteries separate from the flashlight on your flight. On one trip, being jostled in the bag turned it ON, and I arrived to dead batteries.
