Hey does anyone send free sms's from the net? I was until the site I was using was taken down. Im preferably looking for one that doesnt get you to earn reward points/have pop up ads and the like.

MI kno of a couple of Canadian sites, but they are ony good for North America, all the over seas ones i looked for have all been SHe-Ite...I even got bombarded with SPAM text messages one time after using a service...

I did find thins program that allows you to send text from your pc, i have never used it so i do not know much about it, the description looks good though.

Let me know if it workd well bro...

ICQ (and other chat programs that use the ICQ network like Miranda and Trillian) has a plugin that lets you send SMS's from your computer.
(www.ICQ.com and www.miranda-im.org)

I doubt you'd be able to install it to use when you're travelling tho.

WOW: while checking out the ICQ site, i found this:

it lets you send SMS's by emailing a message !

Its a shame that the program is only for Canadian users.

For some reason ICQ is pretty unreliable on certain networks in Aus...but hopefully that web-based version will be helpful when Im away. Cheers guys
