What to do when I get there!?
Sounds like a stupid title I know, but hear me out!..
I fly into London on the 17th July & have no plans till about the end of august. This is when I was first supposed to get there, but I can't handle work for that much longer so I quit early (what a sweet feeling)
Anyways, as I have nothing on & there are about a million options of things to do I'm a bit confused, I'm travelling solo by the away, so I figured I would go to Lagos, Portugal then head my way to Ibiza. The problem is I have no idea how practical this would actually be!..
I would appreciate other peoples thoughts or any other suggestions as to what to do when I get there?

You can get a ferry from England to France, it's a very short crossing once your on the mainland it's extremely easy to get about using trains.
Are you looking for things to do in the England or do you plan to head straight for Lagos?

Hi guys, thanks for your advice.
I was just thinking about going straight to portugal - I also hear good things.. just about to finish up a stresfull job so a few weeks of sitting on the beach with a beer will probably do me (excluding my liver) the world of good!.
Amsterdam is on the definate "go to" list but I'm going to the rugby final in scotland in september - so I think I might go before then maybe?
Can anyone think of anywhere else that's easyish to get to near portugal thats good?
Cheers, Stu

If you're down near Lagos then Andalucia in Spain would be a good bet, Granada, Seville, Ronda, all good places.

Faro is the main airport there but this is the time of year that people will start going on holidays there, you might not find cheap flights from England to Portugal. Praia da Rocha is a funny place it's seems completely overrun by Irish pubs and paddys.
Ryanair fly from Brussels to Faro, you could take in Amsterdam and Brussels then fly down to Faro.

I would fly into Porto and bus or train through Portugal. I found Porto's airport really easy to get through and it was only like a 20 quid flight from London
