Its about 2:30 in the morning here and this could be the beer or tiredness kickin in but im getting nervous for my trip! I know its totally normal to be a little scared before your first trip.....but still. Im going to Europe alone for two months and the jitters are starting to hit.
All the recent anti american bashin on this website isnt helping anything either!!!!

Anyways, sorry for whining but this is just helping me vent to someone!

hey ya hoohayman... I dont think ive had the chance to welcome you to the boards, so let me take this opportunity now.

I think everyone has those feelings before setting out into the unknown. I was just lying in front of the fire yesterday, watching the football, and thinking to myself how comfortable i am right now. And then i think, shit, im throwing myself into the unknown, where im unlikely to be comfortable for the next couple of years.

But then i think, this is going to be one hell of an experience, and one i cant wait to throw myself into. The people, cultures, food and history that ill be indulging in will at sometimes be overwhelming, but im looking sooo forward too it.

So, good luck bro, make the most of the time between now and when you leave to make sure you have everything covered, and then just leap into the unknown.

You will never regret it.

Fifty-countries, hoohay, and I still get 'em from time to time. Nothing to worry about -- it's normal. Perservere, you will be rewarded.

Yo Hooh:

4 weeks and 1 day here! I also am going for two montyhs, you're note alone dude, know how you feel. Embrace the feeling, the nerves, the excitement. I think it's all part of what makes this experience what it is! Though "lubricated" 2:30's in the morning i tend to dwell on the nervouse a bit more to my friend!

Hmm, now that I think about it I realize I have 7 weeks till I leave and I feel no nervousness at all. I have not even begun to think about packing either. My days pass normally by as they alwys have, its almost like I'm not graduating this quarter and then leaving the country for two months.
