I am sure that you can use it to drive here. Since I could use it to drive in Europe from the US.
As far as UK style cars... I'm not sure what you mean. Besides having the steering wheel on the opposite side, they are cars like any other. If you are referring to a manual transmission... we have those and automatic transmissions. Although due to the fact most people in the U.S. don't know how to focus on driving, Automatic transmissions are much more prevelent.
