Going to Europe for the 1st time this summer

I will be graduating from college this June and plan on taking a trip to Europe to travel around a bit. I haven't done much planning and I was just wondering about how much money one generally needs to spend a couple months over there. I have heard that some people can make it on 25 dollars a day, but I am guessing most go far beyond that. What I don't want to have happen is to get over there and then fine out that everything I want to do costs a bunch of money and I burn through my stash in a few weeks. Anyone have any insight?

as tp always says: take $75 usd per day, and you'll be fine - most likely you'll come home with some.
even if it means saving harder than you want - do it, bring $75 per day - you'll have tons of peace of mind if you do!

Money issues huh? Well if you play your cards right I think you can get by with 40E a day, that will be dorm rooms in the hostels, and shopping around for the best price, eating food that you get at supermarkets, and not paying 15E to go into some castle or museum, sites you have to pay for can really ding the wallet! There is plenty to do in most European cities that cost very little or nothing at all. If you spend 40E a day for 5 days, treat yourself to a couple of 75$ days, private room in a hostle and maybe a dinner out...you will deserve it after 5 days of being frugle. There is always ways to save money..Not staying in the big cities is a good one for sure...

This 40E figure does not include transport between cities, that can get costly aswell if you do not have a rail pass

Hey, thanks for the welcome. I should be able to scrounge up the needed cash, and I get the impression that at better time is to be had in Europe with limited funds that would be possible in the US.
