So i will be traveling Europe for the first time this summer i be there from June 12 until semptember 2. The question is what is everything that i need to pack, clothes, maps, First aid kit, tent, sleeping bag etc... I need the ideal in depth list if anyone is awesome enough to tell me. Thanks

Hey Sean,

What you pack will depend a lot on where you're going, when, for how long and what you plan to do. If you want to go hiking, you'll need different stuff than if you plan to spend three months on the beaches, for example.

There are a lot of threads on this site that talk about this topic, some in terrific detail, so take a look at them, and see which ones work best with your plans. I think one of them is called "What do you carry in your pack", which would be a good place to start.

When you've got an idea of what YOU think you'll need, be sure to post your list, and people will let you know if there's anything critical you've left out, or if there's something that you probably won't need, that'll lighten your load.

I find that the packing list kind of falls into place once I finish my research and I figura out where I want to go and what I want to do. Of course some stuff is standard (toiletries, basic clothing, towel, etc.) but other items can be specific - swimwear for the beach, hiking shoes for exploring the Alps in Switzerland, sun hat for those really hot and sunny southern European countries, etc. I suggest narrowing down your route, countries you want to visit and activities that interest you - once you have that ready we can give you specific suggestions about what worthwhile to take along with you.
