For anywhere between 1$ and 10$ you can save your self a whole lot of sleepless nights...bring ear plugs with you!!! From street noise to party animals to peps who snore, these little life savers will help you out BIG TIME!!! just go to your local hardware store to pick them up, some are disposable

I agree, CD, and "never leave home without them." That is, at least on a trip, I don't! Also, if you get one of those soft, elastic face masks that fit over your eyes, they're good to take on international flights, too. With ear plugs and face mask, you'd be surprised how you can almost forget you're on a flight crammed with scores of other people...

You can also find earplugs in most drugstores, at least stateside. Most of them work pretty well, but the packages will usually list the number of decibles (db) that they will reduce noise by. So depending on how light or heavy of a sleeper you are you can make a more informed decision.

I suppose you could always buy some and take them home and test them out by turning a bunch of stuff on a trying to sleep. :D

I used to wear them every night, I could not fall asleep without them...But I forced myself to stop because I was not sure if it was very healthy for my poor ears! Now I can sleep everywhere, anytime (I can fall asleep sitting on a shitty chair during class, in cars, planes, I even slept an entire night stuck in a train's corridor full of people, sitting crossed legged on the floor!), and noise usually helps me fall asleep...For me there is nothing as good as a soflty snoring man beside me to put me to sleep...ehehheh!

Yeah me too moc. I can sleep anywhere and with anyone. I think it's because I shared a small room for twenty years of my life, so I've never really slept alone before. I think it's great though because no matter where I am I can always fall asleep no prob!

Yeah, I've shared a bed with my brother until I was 13 (I just could not sleep alone...So at night he always let me sneak into his bed). And I used to have insomnia if I had to sleep alone, it could take me hours to fall asleep. My dad always said I need a man in my bed (he knows me soooo well hahaha!).

Being able to sleep in any conditions is soooo useful...I wish everyone could sleep like children do, you know like at weddings, at the end of the night you can see them sleeping on the chairs...or at xmas we would all fall asleep on the beds full of coats...ehhehe! :sleepy:
