Thumbs up

I am getting out of the military this coming January and I am looking to backpack across Europe for an extensive amount of time. I don't have a lot of $, but I seem to find myself lacking to care too much about that. I have about US$3500 after travel. I'm sure that will last me only a matter of months.

Would you encourage me to wait and save up more money before I leave? Or should I just "wing it?" I prefer the latter, but I am hesitant.

Also, I don't know if it is better to fly in to London, then travel the rest of Europe, or travel in to like Berlin, see Europe, then do London later.

I would have to say "wing it", I have always been big on that...Will you have a working vissa while your there? if so, then $$$ can be made no prob, even if you don't have a working visa, you could score an "under the table job" and make some $$$ anyway.
3500$ US should get you a fair distence I would have to say...not in London or Paris...BUT if you made your way to Eastern Europe you $$$ will go a really long way!

If you fly into London and spend some time seeing the city, it makes a great hopping point for almost any other country in Europe, fligths out of Hethrow can be dirt cheap!! Check Ryanair, BMI Baby and Easy Jet for some sweet deals.

Is there any way to use your Military contacts or position to score a flight overseas???
