The seas have been rough and I am one of the few who hasn't been affected by it...happily bounding about the boat...even working out at the gym.

Then we docked this morning in a port. And I am ILL. I am weak, nauseus, headache and exhausted. Is there such a thing as land sickness? And what cure is there?

sounds like you have a cold coming...get some beechams flu tab's and nurofen and retreat back to the boat for a few days rest!

Ya, there's a cure. Alcohol, and lots of it.

You may not necessarily feel better but you sure as shit won't care! :D

Actually, a dramamine can help. Your inner ear has gotten adjusted to the constant motion, and now that it ain't movin', it gets a little screwballed.

Yeah, you're having the reverse reaction. I was on an 8 day cruise, and the last few days were super high/rough seas (40-60ft waves). While other people on the shipe were throwing up all over the place, my buddies and I enjoyed it thoroughly. But by the time we got back on land, trying to sleep was a brutal experience. I'd lie in bed and feel as though the hotel room was ducking and weaving like a boxer, as I'd gotten accustomed to +/- 40 feet of vertical travel every few seconds as I slept. Just give it a few days and you'll be just fine...
