so i am off to the UK and europe for acouple months and i was wondering if i should bring my own towel, or should i just get on over there?

Also when size should i bring, because it can get heavy when it is wet... also what is the best way to dry it whdurring the day?

I have an MSR Packtowel, XL. $20, and it does compress pretty small... dries relatively fast, too. I keep one in the car in case, and one in the pack. Got mine from REI, though I know they have them all over. Google it...

I bought a camping towel from Canadian Tire. its small takes up no room and absorbes 10x its own weight in water. You can wring it out and use it again. Its sooo cool!

I bought basically the same thing from EMS. These towels work well as they are also treated with something that keeps them from getting mildewy and smelly, even if you pack it up still wet.

They are not the same, of course, as having a nice big fluffy towel, but if you need to pack it up every few days (oftentimes when it is still wet) these are very practical.

I brought a nice big, fluffy towel from home... sure it took some room, but i was laughing at those suckers with those tiny-ass travel towels.

Ha, my travel towel is bigger than most of the normal towels at home.

Not to mention taking up less bag room at the same time, absorbing more and drying faster.
